our-established-reputation

Mollenhour Homes believes that history is important and relevant. We also understand that our past and future actions are much more valuable than our present words. So take a moment to peruse the below comments made about us from various customers, municipal codes inspectors, vendors and subcontractors, and licensed home inspectors.

When purchasing a new home, our customers are already juggling their work, daily lives, families, moving, all the selections for the home, changing over utilities, and various other timely and important tasks . . . the absolute last thing they need to worry about is the integrity, motivation, intentions, stability, or ability of the company they have entrusted to build their new home.

Mollenhour Homes understands that what is ultimately good for our customers is good for us. We plan to be in business and building homes when you move again and when your friends and families purchase new homes; we want and expect you to be excited about recommending your experience with Mollenhour Homes to those who trust your judgment.

Pre-closing Procedures:

Working with Mollenhour Homes was a big deal for me and my family. We were moving from the GulfCoast and my agent was mainly the one working with Mollenhour. They did everything that was asked and did it in a timely manner. Mollenhour made every request fast and without any disruptions even when I requested an early closing date. If I would have not worked with Mollenhour Homes, I believe that my move to the Knoxville area would not have allowed me to get my family moved within the time frame that I wanted. So not only did they help me get here sooner, it is the best built home in the neighborhood!

Response time:

As well as our home was built, there have still been a couple of minor things that have needed some attention, and that has been no issue. The warranty team has been great; they have made quality repairs and have also worked around my family needs and gotten the job done in a timely manner. The good news other than the quality of work is that you only have to ask once and it is done!

Quality:

The quality of the house is great. They put time into the house and you can tell that they do not throw it up to make a quick buck. When my home inspection was done, the inspector commented that it is the best built house that he has seen in Blount County in quite sometime. Overall my family has been happy with the purchase that we made, and if I was ever going to upgrade my home I would have to purchase another Mollenhour Home, no one else would be able to touch the quality and the detail that is put into this home and also make it affordable.

Thanks Mollenhour!

I had a great experience with Mollenhour Homes. Since I got into the process before the home was built, I got to have input on everything about the home. I made a lot of changes to the original floor plan and they were there to make sure each request happened! They were very easy to work with and allowed me to ask questions and see each step of the building process. They were all very friendly and eager to make this experience a good one for us.  They even had the house ready a week early for me! I absolutely love the way my home turned out!

The response time before and after I moved in was great! There were a few small things that needed to be touched up after I moved in and within the hour most of the time, someone was there to help out. There were also times when I just had a question for them about my new home and they always got back to me quickly.

The quality of our home is great! The people at Mollenhour Homes really take the time to pay attention to details. My husband and I have been very happy with how great our first home together turned out! I don’t think we could have found another home with the same quality and still be this affordable.  We love living here!

Thanks Mollenhour Homes!

Flooring Vendor

Having been in the flooring business for many years, I’ve seen alot of homebuilders come and go. As a full service flooring store, we have installed flooring for many different builders over the years, and continue to service many of the builders in the Knoxville area. Being a Vendor/Subcontractor, I get to see the construction process from the inside out….the construction methods used, the attention to detail or lack thereof, scheduling headaches, as these things all directly effect my work there. So as someone who often see’s and has to deal with what goes on “behind the scenes”,  it can be a little disheartening to see how things are done on many jobsites.

Mollenhour Homes is the exeception. They care about the “little things”. To them, its a Big Deal if something is not ‘exactly’ the way they want it. They give each subcontractor that works on one of their homes a Quality Control Checklist that itemizes even the little things not to be overlooked. They are also extremely organized, which is a great help in allowing us to be profitable. Lets face it, If I send a crew out to do a job, and it’s not ready, it costs me dearly. Not only does the crew lose the work for that day, but I have to send them out again at a later date. Mollenhour Homes recognizes my time as valuable and realizes that by effective scheduling, they can keep their costs down, as I am able to keep my costs down. Believe me, In a competitive business, time is money.

The most amazing thing is how we have built such a solid relationship. They care about my time, they care about issues that directly effect me, and are always immediately responsive. And that really has had a positive impact on our relationship. I take a great deal of pride in our flooring. I care about the quality of the flooring we install and take great efforts to insure that we,as a company, do it better than anybody else…Its just nice to work with a builder who feels the same about his homes.

 Criterium-Corum Engineers

Mollenhour Homes has been a part of our “Criterium Quality Assurance Program” for over a year.  We have found the quality of their homes have exceeded standard building practices.  They set themselves apart from other Homebuilders by their commitment to their clients to provide a structurally well built home and certified by an engineer.

Thank you,

Jim and Susan

We recently purchased a Mollenhour home (December 2008). Of the all the builders we’ve worked with during previous home purchases, Mollenhour has been the most customer oriented and progressive. For example, they have thought of the future upgrades in a home by pre-wiring for alarm systems, pre-wiring for surround sound & audio throughout the house, and pre-piping for a central vacuum system. This enables the buyer to upgrade gradually without the additional expense of installing the infrastructure for these systems once the house is completed.Poorbaugh's Home

Mollenhour was also progressive in the details of the home, such as a tankless hot water heater, storage in normally unused spaces of the house, silent garage door openers, and keyless front door entry.

Finally, what made Mollenhour rank above all other builders that we’ve used was their interaction with us during the finishing of the house. The minimal cosmetic items we noted during the home inspection and final walkthrough of the house were fixed because they wanted them fixed from a quality perspective. For example, undiscovered by the home inspector or us during the inspection, there was a minor chip in the sidewalk that was only cosmetic that was repaired (section re-poured) without being in the inspector’s report. They did the repair because it didn’t meet their standards for quality.

We highly recommend working with Mollenhour Homes.
