Closing on your home can and should be an exciting and enjoyable experience. It is a time when your efforts as an educated homebuyer come to fruition as you take possession of your own home with its unique selection of colors, fixtures, and the overall atmosphere that you have created.
However, closing does not begin with signing papers. It begins with making sure that your home is ready to be delivered to you as a final masterpiece. As described on The Quality of Our Homes, each home we build is inspected by our staff, building inspectors, licensed engineers, and home inspectors, but the final inspection is conducted by you, our customer. After all of our inspections have been completed and a few days prior to the scheduled closing date, our staff will ask you to attend a final inspection of your home during which our team will assist you in exploring your new home as you identify anything that is less than what you expected. This final inspection will last as long as you wish and will end only after you are completely satisfied with your new home.
Only after we know that you are comfortable with your new home, our staff will make the final preparations for transferring its ownership. The actual closing should take less than ninety minutes and our staff will once again be available during that time to answer any questions you might have. It really is a simply process when everyone knows what to expect and when you (our customer) are happy with your home.
